Marion County Public Library Website Redesign

The goal for this project was to redesign the website for the Marion County Public Library. They recently remodeled their
building but their website isn’t very up to date. I chose to give the website a new look based on their new redesign and chose shapes, colors, and fonts that were more relevant. This library has been around for quite a while and it is located in a small town so there isn’t much traffic. But the schools tend to make great use out of the library as it offers many great opportunities for students and the community.

In order to get to the final design, I had to go through a few revisions in order for viewers to understand what the website was for. Laying out the information was another hurdle as there was quite a bit in the “about” section. It was especially challenging as I was focusing on the mobile version of this website, but I split up the information with different design elements to make it more readable. Functionality and user interaction were my main concern and I believe this new design has greatly achieved both.
